Robert Vadra earned 58 crore illegal earnings from land deal, ED’s big disclosure in money laundering case

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra is facing increasing legal challenges. Sources in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) allege that they illegally earned about Rs 58 crore illegally through suspected land transactions in Gurugram. According to the investigators, the profit was sent through their companies Sky Light Hospitality Private Limited (SLHPL) and Blue Brees Trading Private Limited (BBTPL) and spent on the purchase of luxurious lives and property in their companies or their names.

Flakes on dead colleagues

During interrogation on 15 and 16 April 2025, Vadra allegedly refrained from directly responding and instead put responsibility for three dead colleagues – HL Pahwa, Rajesh Khurana and Mahesh Nagar, claiming that they had worked on their behalf. When the ED asked for evidence, Vadra allegedly failed to present any supporting document.

Allegations of Shikohpur land scam

The case is arranged by alleged irregularities in the purchase, sale and licensing of land in Shikohpur village of Gurugram. An FIR lodged by Haryana Police in September 2018 accused Vadra, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, DLF Limited and Omkareshwar Properties Private Limited of fraud, conspiracy and corruption. Investigators claim that SLHPL bought 3.5 acres of land for Rs 7.5 crore which is half of its actual price and filed false information about the payment by check to avoid stamp duty of Rs 45 lakh, which was never redeemed. This land was reportedly given to Omkareshwar Properties in exchange for obtaining a commercial housing license from the then Chief Minister. Later, after rigging in documents, changing dates and reshuffling maps, the property was sold to DLF for Rs 58 crore.

Licensing irregularities

ED sources say that 3.53 acres of land was shown in the application for the license, while only 1.35 acres of land was suitable for commercial use. The rules were sidelined to include the land of the sector road. Senior officials allegedly accelerated the process under political pressure, the clear evidence of which belongs to old dates and changed site maps.

How to use money

Out of the alleged Rs 58 crore profit, Rs 5 crore came through BBTPL and Rs 53 crore through SLHPL. This money was reportedly used to buy, invest and repay the company’s debt.
