Fast stir in the Arabian Sea, India-Pakistan navy will be face to face at the same time

The Navy of India and Pakistan will conduct separate firing exercises in the Arabian Sea on August 11-12, amidst the increased tension after the Pahalgam terror attack in April and the Operation Sindoor run by India. According to the notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued, the Indian Navy will practice on Porbandar and Okha coasts in Gujarat, while the Pakistani Navy has declared its firing zone in its water area for these dates. Defense officials insisted that such exercises are regular, but the distance of about 60 knots has worried the analysts.

Pahalgam to Operation Sindoor

On 22 April, 26 civilians lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. In retaliation, India launched Operation Sindoor, a coordinated campaign of the three armies and targeted terrorist structures associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba within Pakistan. In this campaign, the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy have carried out accurate attacks on Pakistani defense establishments.

Navy construction and strategic signal

The upcoming exercises indicate the increasing activity and strategic stance of the Navy in the Arabian Sea – this region is important for the maritime security interests of India and Pakistan. The Indian Navy exercises will allegedly involve direct firing and exercises from warships and possibly aircraft, while Pakistan’s practice indicates parallel performance of operational readiness.

Aerial and missiles collision before naval exercise

The exercise is taking place immediately after the fierce firing of aerial and missiles during operation operations. It is being told that the Indian Air Force neutralized Pakistan’s missile and drone capabilities, destroyed several defense systems in major cities of Pakistan and killed an Avax aircraft. India also claims that during this campaign it killed six Pakistani fighter jets. Although the two navies say that upcoming exercises are part of standard operating training, defense observers say this coincidence of the program and location reflects the delicate state of India-Pak relations in view of recent enmity.
