Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was to be heard on April 1 on the bail plea of Shariful, accused in a knife attack case, but now it was postponed till 4 April. In fact, the police did not file their reply in the court, due to which the proceedings were delayed.
The next hearing has now been scheduled on 4 April. The court has directed the police to submit its reply regarding the Bell application.
In his petition, Shariful Islam alias Shahzad has described himself as innocent and claimed that the case against him is concocted. The application through his lawyer Ajay Gawli argued that the FIR was improperly recorded.
Police has not yet filed charge sheet
Shahzad also said that he has fully supported the investigation and all the necessary evidence is already with the police. Any kind of tampering in it is difficult. Currently, the case is going on in the Bandra Magistrate Court and after filing the charge sheet of the police, it is expected to be transferred to the sessions court. The Bandra Police Chargesheet has not yet been filed.
Demand of one crore rupees in lieu of defamation
At the same time, suspected Akash Kanaujia, who was caught in the murderous attack case on Saif, has pleaded for justice from the Bombay High Court. He claims that he was fired after the news of being caught in the media. Even her marriage broke up. Now relatives have also distanced away from him.
Even after wandering from rate to rate for the job, no work is being found. After social and economic losses, he now has no way except committing suicide. After knowing about his idea of committing suicide, a social worker has filed a petition in the High Court through a lawyer.
In this, a relief amount of Rs 1 crore has been demanded in lieu of defamation from the home ministry. The suspect was caught at Durg railway station on suspicion of entering Saif Ali’s house and attacking with a knife. After this, the team of Mumbai Crime Branch arrived and after questioning it has been released. The suspect then returned home in Mumbai. On 3 March 2025, Sandehi filed a petition in the High Court.

Police received Bangladeshi Icard and driving license from Shariful Islam. He was illegally living in Mumbai with his name Vijay Das. The accused had been living in Mumbai for five months and used to work as housekeeping.
