The controversy between TMC leaders did not stop, Kalyan Bnerjee told Mahua Moitra of ‘low level’

Senior Trinamool Congress leader Kalyan Banerjee has once again launched a scathing attack on the party’s ally Mahua Moitra. Banerjee has described Moitra as a ‘low level’ this time. The long -running dispute between the two leaders has now turned into private attacks. The dispute increased further when Banerjee commented on Moitra’s marriage, in response to which Mahua called him a ‘pig’.
What did Kalyan Banerjee say?
Talking to reporters, Kalyan Banerjee said that talking about Mahua Moitra is ‘waste of time and energy’. He said, ‘That woman is not related to my subject at all and she is of very low level. There is no point in talking about them. Banerjee also admitted that he was angry at Moitra and also said some things to Didi (Mamata Banerjee), which he now regrets.
The MP of Shrirampur said that the message of a junior lawyer has changed his thinking on the matter. He said, ‘The text message of a lawyer has changed my perception on the matter. He does not deserve my attention. I made a mistake by paying attention to them.

Mahua Moitra told Banerjee ‘pig’
The dispute of both was deepened when Moitra called Banerjee a ‘pig’ in a podcast. Subsequently, Kalyan Banerjee resigned from the post of Chief Whip of the party in the Lok Sabha. His resignation was accepted and the party appointed Kakoli Ghosh Dasidar as the new chief whip and Shatabdi Roy as the new Deputy Leader of the party in the House.
Mahua Moitra, in an interview with India Today, replied to Banerjee’s comment on his marriage with Pinaki Mishra, saying, ‘You don’t fight wrestling from the pig. Because the pig likes it and you get dirty. ‘ He further said that in every party in the Indian Parliament, ‘gross feminine, sexually frustrated, corrupt men’ are present in every party.

Banerjee’s retaliation
After Mahua Moitra’s comments, Kalyan Banerjee wrote a long post on the social media platform ‘X’. He said that comparing a fellow MP by Moitra to ‘pig’ is ‘unfortunate’ and it is ignoring the basic norms of civil dialogue.
He further wrote, ‘Those who think that abuses can be replaced by abstract, they should look into their politics and it highlights their hollowness.’ Banerjee also said that when a public representative uses abusive language, it reflects not strength, but insecurity.
