Fraud of Rs 55 lakh from 18 people as a personal assistant of Deputy Chief Minister Shinde, case registered

An FIR has been lodged against a couple from Jalgaon for cheating Rs 55 lakh from 18 people, saying the personal assistant of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. A police officer gave this information on Saturday.

The official said that Hitesh Ramesh Sanghvi, a resident of Pachora, Jalgaon, and his wife Arpita Sanghvi, had promised to provide government jobs, tender, MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority) houses etc. to the people.

The official said, “Dairy businessman Harshal came in contact with Bari Sanghvi. Sanghvi told Bari that he is a personal assistant to the Deputy Chief Minister and his office in the Ministry (State Secretariat). Bari gave him Rs 10 lakh for MHADA flat and seven lakh rupees to get his wife a job in railway. ”

He said, “The accused used to show fake documents and appointment letters to cheat people. Bari gave him Rs 13.38 lakh between November 2024 to August 8, 2025. When the realization of being cheated, Bari filed a complaint on Thursday. ”The official said that an FIR has been lodged against the Sanghvi couple in a relevant sections including fraud at the Shanipheth police station.
