Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday called for supporting the central government in the national interest against US President Donald Trump’s “pressure strategy” by US President Donald Trump.
Addressing a press conference in Nagpur, Pawar said, “There is a strategy to impose 50 percent tariff (tariff) on Indian goods. We people of India should support the government to protect the interests of the country. ”
The former Union Minister said that he does not want to speculate on whether the foreign policy of the Modi government has failed or not. He said, “We saw Trump’s working style as US President even in the first term. I think they have no control over them. Whoever comes in their heart, comes in impulsion and speaks. ”
Sharad Pawar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should not ignore the signs of increasing distance between India and neighboring countries. He said, “We cannot ignore our attitude towards our neighboring countries. Today Pakistan is against us, while countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives are not happy with us.
The NCP (SP) chief said, “Our neighbors are going away from us. I think Modi Saheb should not ignore this aspect and focus on improving the relationship.
