Bharatiya Janata Party MP Manoj Tiwari on Friday shared an emotional experience, where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi with his wife Surabhi and his four and a half year old daughter Shanvika. During the meeting, he presented a prasad of a prasad to the Prime Minister from the devotees of Lord Shiva in Deoghar, Jharkhand to the revered Baba Baidyanath Dham. This offerings, a sacred gift, were presented to Prime Minister Modi on behalf of all those barefoot Kawandis, who go on a Kavad Yatra to take holy water from the Ganges river.

After receiving the prasad, Prime Minister Modi expressed his reverence to Lord Shiva and chanting every Mahadev. He looked happy and asked the Kavad Yatra and the well -being of Kanwari. Tiwari posted on X, “On behalf of all the barefoot Kanwaris, we today presented the prasad of Baba Baidyanath Dham to the famous Prime Minister of India, India’s famous Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” He wrote that after getting the offerings of Baba Vaidyanath Dham, the Prime Minister pronounced every Mahadev and looked very happy.
The BJP MP said that the Prime Minister along with me also came to know about Baba Dham’s Kavad Yatra and Kanwari. Our wife Surabhi was also accompanied by me, and we also presented a painting made by 4.5 -year -old daughter Sanvika. The last Monday of Sawan was on August 4, with which the Kanwar devotees had already completed their annual Kandar Yatra. This pilgrimage reached its final stage in various Shiva temples to perform the ritual of ‘Jalabhishek’ on Sawan Shivaratri, in which crores of people brought water from the Ganges river from Haridwar within 15 days.

Shravan (or Sawan) has great importance in Hindu mythology. It is believed that Shravan month is the most favorite month of Lord Shiva. Worshiping Shiva in this month gives freedom from all sufferings.Lord Shiva temple across the country resonated with the sounds of Vedic chanting, conch, bells and hymns. In the holy month of Sawan, the devotees were seen standing in queues to worship and perform rituals of Lord Shiva. This year, Shravan began on 11 July and ends on 9 August.
