US President Donald Trump has ruled out the possibility of a trade talks with India until the issue of fee is resolved. Trump was asked at the Oval Office on Thursday whether he was expected to move forward after announcing a 50 percent fee on India, to which he said, “Not until the issue is resolved.”
Last week, Trump had announced a 25 percent counter -charge duty on India, which came into force from August 7. The US President also signed an executive order, under which an additional 25 percent fee was imposed on India for the purchase of oil from Russia. With this, the total fee increased to 50 percent, which is one of the highest charges levied by the US on any country. The additional 25 percent fee will be applicable from 21 days after 21 days. Reacting to the fee, India’s Foreign Ministry said that targeting New Delhi is “inappropriate and indiscriminate”.
The ministry said, “Like any major economy, India will take all necessary steps to protect its national interests and economic security.” Speaking on the current situation of India and America, major Indian-American Attorney Ravi Batra said that between Trump’s fees, “a lot of stake is at stake.”
He called it “unfortunate” that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not accept a ceasefire with Ukraine as per Trump’s wish. Batra said in a post on ‘X’, “To harm India is equivalent to harming Russia. But this also causes a lot of damage to us. ”
He said that the US wants the Russian President to do “real” ceasefire with Ukraine, “which does not have any kind of tricks, and then Putin, Chinese President Xi Chinfing and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi should also be American ally.”
He said, “Now is a mature re -planning time, otherwise we are at the risk of a ‘domino effect’ that can harm everyone.” “Domino effect” is said to be frequent events after a single incident.
