‘Time to save democracy’, Kharge supports Rahul, accused EC of working in favor of ruling party

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of acting in his constitutional duty to act like a representative of the ruling party and hold his constitutional duties. Kharge wrote on X that there was a time when the Election Commission of India was applauded all over the world. How many countries used to take training from our Election Commission to conduct fair elections. When a political party asked the Election Commission questions, they used to answer or clarify it within the purview of the dignity of the Constitution.

Kharge further said that today when someone asks questions from ECI, he does not answer the answer, but makes upside down like the representative of the ruling party, only makes unrestrained statements without considering the demands of the opposition parties. He further said that today Rahul Gandhi gave an example of Mahadewapura seat in Karnataka, for example, how the Election Commission allowed the Election Commission to get rigged in one election and wired its constitutional duty, which stole 1,00,250 votes.
The Congress president claimed that this vote theft is being held in many seats in a strategic way across the country. The Congress party will make the public aware of this. Tomorrow we will start from Freedom Park in Bengaluru in Karnataka. Now the time has come to save democracy and constitution, to save the country! Addressing journalists at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters in New Delhi, Rahul claimed that the Maharashtra election results have confirmed the suspicion of the Congress party that the elections were rigged in the elections.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha alleged, “Not given a machine-elective voter list, we were convinced that the Election Commission (EC) has connivated the BJP to ‘steal’ in elections in Maharashtra.” He further said, “He said that we would destroy CCTV footage. It was surprising for us as questions were raised about heavy voting in Maharashtra after 5.30 pm so that the figures could be matched. Our people knew that nothing like this had happened at polling stations. There was no heavy polling after 5.30 pm.”
