Thousands of people began to gather to celebrate the first rebellion day, a major road in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, a major road in Dhaka, Manik Mia Avenue, which forms the southern boundary of the National Parliament House complex, a one-year anniversary of the previous Sheikh Hasina government, the first rebellion day. The interim government of the South Asian country with a population of 17 crores has organized this huge event after declaring this day a national holiday. The government has made arrangements to bring people from all over the country to this event by renting eight pairs of trains. Textile factories have been closed so that workers can also attend the event.

Officials of various banks have also been asked to attend the event. The day -long festival began with the performance of the country’s major music bands and popular cultural artists. Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus will formally unveil the official announcement of the July 2024 mass rebellion in Bangladesh, ‘July Declaration’. The manifesto allegedly mentions 26 political, constitutional and administrative issues. He will also address the nation through government radio and television this evening. Various political parties have organized various programs. The country’s largest Islamic political party, Jamaat-e-Islami, took out a procession with its election symbol, Dari Palla (measure of measurement). Jamaat-e-Islami opposed the independence of Bangladesh during freedom from Pakistan in 1971.

Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus said in a message that a year ago, the July rebellion had won its victory and freed our beloved nation from the arrest of the long -standing fascist rule. He further stated that the interim government is committed to restor the state power through peaceful, fair and transparent elections under a permanent political solution.
