In Muzaffarnagar district, police on Monday arrested 14 accused in Bhopa police station area, busting an illegal arms gang and recovered huge amount of illegal facts from their possession.
A senior police officer gave this information. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar told reporters here today that on the basis of a secret information, the police arrested 14 people and seized several illegal weapons including 12 pistols, a gun, a muscat and a large amount of cartridges from their possession, which costs Rs 46,000. He said that during interrogation, it was found that the accused were selling illegal weapons here.
The SSP said that the police registered a case against all the 14 accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and the provisions of the Armed Act. He said that advance legal action is being taken in the case.
