Rajasthan: A head constable arrested in Rajsamand taking bribe

In Rajsamand district of Rajasthan, the Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested a police ‘head constable’ taking a bribe of Rs 20,000. According to a statement by the bureau, Krishna Kumar Meena, the ‘head constable’ of Khamanor police station, has been arrested.

According to the Bureau’s Additional Director General Smita Srivastava, the plaintiff had complained that in the case lodged in Khamanor police station, the police officer Shaitan Singh Nathawat’s reader Krishna Kumar (Head Constable) is demanding a bribe of Rs 25,000 in lieu of not making him accused of robbery and leaving his seized car.

The complainant alleges that he has already recovered 35 thousand rupees from him. The bureau team verified the complaint. While taking action on Monday, accused Head Constable Krishna Kumar was arrested red handed taking alleged bribe of Rs 20,000 in the name of the police officer. According to the bureau, the role of the police officer of Khamanor in the case is suspicious and investigation is being done.
