The Upper House of Parliament on Monday paid tribute to former Jharkhand Chief Minister and JMM founder Shibu Soren, who died in the national capital today after a long illness. In honor of the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, the proceedings of the House were postponed for the day. Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh expressed condolences on the death of Shibu Soren and said that Mr. Soren was a specific tribal leader. Famous as Dishom Guru and popular among the public, he was a leading voice in the rights and development struggle of tribal people.

Birla posted on X today that the death of Rajya Sabha MP, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and former Union Minister Shibu Soren is very sad. Along with the development of tribal society and the state of Jharkhand, he had a profound influence in public life. I express my heartfelt condolences to the heartbreaking Hemant Soren and his family.
The chairman said that I pray to God to give strength to the peace of the departed soul and to provide strength to the bereaved family and supporters. Shibu Soren died in New Delhi at the age of 81 today after a long illness. Jharkhand Chief Minister and his son Hemant Soren confirmed his death in a post on X. Hemant Soren said that the respected direction Guruji has left us all. Today I am very sad.

Shibu Soren led the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for 38 years and is known as the founder patron of the party. He was the third Chief Minister of Jharkhand. In the four -decade political career, Soren was elected to the Lok Sabha eight times and was twice a Rajya Sabha MP. Meanwhile, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha were also adjourned till 2 pm today amidst the uproar of the opposition. Opposition MPs showed placards and shouted slogans before the seat of the House during the Question Hour, after which Chairman Om Birla postponed the proceedings of the House.
