PTI condemns ‘baseless’ conviction
PTI President Gauhar Ali Khan, while criticizing the conviction, termed the cases against Ayub and others baseless. He alleged that these decisions were taken to weaken the upcoming rallies on the third anniversary of convicting Khan in several cases. Imran Khan was removed from the post in 2022 through a motion of no confidence under the leadership of the then opposition leader and current Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. After his expulsion, Khan accused both the army and Sharif of conspiring against him under the US -backed conspiracy, although he strongly denied the allegations.
