Now, thanks to Aamir Khan, Tvod (transactional video on demand) is again in discussion. Although this is not a new concept – viewers used to rented VHS and later DVD, but digital rental has not yet become widespread in India. Aamir Khan’s latest film ‘Stars Zameen Par’ is now available on YouTube with a pay-per-view option-but some users found something strange in it. Just a few days after its release, there were reports that Apple device is being taken ₹ 179 from users to rent a film, while others have paid less. Aamir Khan, who is not on social media, reacted to it through his production house. Aamir Khan Productions posted this on his official X handle: “Sorry, we have come to know that the cost of renting our film ‘Stars Zameen Par’ is seen ₹ 179 on the Apple device. We are trying to solve this problem as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
