Remember the last scene of Dhadak, where Janhvi Kapoor’s silent scream fills you with shudder? In ‘Dhadak 2’, producers resort to the loud scream of Trupti Dimri in the climax. Although even after falling the curtain, this scream resonates, but its effect remains almost the same.
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film tries to deal with courage with caste-based atrocities, but not with firm belief. Unlike the original ‘Pariyarum Perumal’, it avoids making sharp and fearless comments according to the demand of the subject. What could have been a strong political statement becomes a weak story, which seems to be softened to avoid censorship or controversy. Re -dubbing the dialogues of the climax increases the restlessness. Nevertheless, Siddhant Chaturvedi has given his best performance so far, playing the role of Nilesh, a young man suffocated under the burden of caste shame and oppression. As a method, Trupti Dimri has brought back her romantic intensity with ‘Laila Majnu’, which matches the enthusiasm of theory in many scenes.
Story
Dhadak 2 begins with Nilesh (Siddhant Chaturvedi) playing drums, where the method (Trupti dimri) is also present. She not only sees her, but also asks for her number. Don’t think too much; This is for the performance of the band at her sister’s wedding.
In the film, it is known in just 5 minutes that Nilesh, who is a Dalit boy, lives in Bhim Nagar in Bhopal and enrolls in the National University of Law to fulfill his mother’s dream and feed his family. But there is much more in it!
A boy whose pet dog is killed in front of his eyes, the same boy who sees his mother while asking a logical question, thinks that his life will change by taking admission in law college. His life will become a bed of flowers, and after leaving there, he will earn a name for his family and end his difficulties. But what he knew was that the real struggle is about to begin now.
He meets the same girl in college. The same girl does not consider him different from her and treats her with mercy. Although the law comes from the family of lawyers, he also has a cousin and uncle who has deep faith in caste discrimination.
But despite all this, the love between the two flourishes, just as the film is used by the use of Boganvillea. But while these two meet and their hearts start beating faster than ever, in the world, in the world, Saurabh Sachdeva is in the form of a ruthless, merciless man who considers Scheduled Castes parasites and does not shed tears in killing them.
What happens when he collides with Nilesh, and does the family of the method accept their relationship? Is Dhadak 2’s fate also like Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar’s beating? Well, to know the answers to these questions, you have to watch the film.
Dhadak 2 Movie Review: Star Performance
Siddhant Chaturvedi has done an incredible performance as Nilesh. His eyes and his behavior clearly show that they are living Nilesh, a Dalit who is looking for liberation for himself and his community. Nilesh has a passion to become a lawyer instead of becoming a part of that universal politics of the college, which also talks about caste discrimination, and we see a personal passion in his acting.
Tripti Dimri proves all the skepticists who believe that she is just a glamor girl. Absolutely natural, she is shocked as a method, a sharp girl who feels mentally suffocated due to disinterest social traditions.
Vipin Sharma is excellent as Nilesh’s father, especially when Ronnie and his friends bother him. Anubha Fatehpura as Nilesh’s mother is also amazing, and in a simple role, Harish Khanna is quietly impressive as the father of the method. Saurabh Sachdeva once again shows his ability as a staunch Shankar.
Among the young artists, Priyank Tiwari as Vasu and Priyank Tiwari as Shekhar look different. But among the supportive artists, Zakir Hussain is in the lead role, which presents a wonderful confluence of humor and dramaticness.
Writing and direction
Writer Rahul Badwellkar and Shazia Iqbal have done a wonderful job in making a film that is not to make anyone happy. The film, which aims to highlight the plight of the lower caste people, does so with full authenticity.
While privileged people are said to be privileged, confused people are called ignorant. Films and writers do not bow down to make anyone happy, nor to make anyone happy nor to get into the typical Bollywood end, which says, “Finally everything goes right friends and if not, it is not the end.”
The authors have prepared a strong as well as a weak role for the principle. Tripti in the film is also in the form of law, which is in law college, but is so ignorant that he does not have a logical argument and is confused, as any privileged person is born. But she has a kind heart that sees everyone as one, she has her own voice and she feels the power to hold them inside.
Should the film be seen?
Thomas Jefferson’s statement, “When the injustice becomes a law, becomes a resistance duty”, the film starts its point. For a country that runs on the tagline of “unity in diversity” on at least papers, but does not leave any scope to share people on the basis of gender, caste, religion, creed, language, economic status, social status and perfection, he needs to watch a film like Dhadak 2. To realize how we can make him feel a short distance between someone, what people are unable to express and cry for the things that are forgotten in the world’s prevalence.
Although the strange videos of Saira Theater Show may find you strange, it will not happen with a film like Dhadak 2. It may be that the film does not get success as much as the box office of Ahaan and Anit’s film, but to choose and present the subject, actors and producers should get more respect.
