This year second F-35 accident
The crashed jet was F-35C, especially one of the three types of F-35 Lightning II designed to operate on American aircraft carriers. While the US Air Force operates F-35A, Marine uses Corps F-35B, capable of small flight and vertical landing. This is the second F-35 accident recorded this year. In January, an Air Force F-35A aircraft crashed during a training mission at Ailaska’s Ellason Air Force Base. Like other types, F-35C costs around $ 100 million.
