Just hours after the announcement of 25 percent tariff and additional fine on India, US President Donald Trump announced a trade agreement with Pakistan on Wednesday (local time). He mentioned a joint initiative to develop oil reserves in India’s terrorism refugee neighboring country and also said that “someday” can sell oil to Islamabad New Delhi. In a post on social, Trump said that the US and Pakistan are in the process of choosing an oil company for this partnership.
America got upset with India and Russia relations
US President Donald Trump on Thursday targeted India and Russia’s business relations, saying he did not care what India does with Russia. He accused the two countries of being a “dead economy”. And then US President Donald Trump has announced the signing of a trade agreement with Pakistan and said that Washington will work with Pakistan to develop the “huge oil reserves” of the South Asian country. It is not yet clear which huge oil reserves Trump was talking about in Pakistan.
Trump announced- America will develop ‘huge’ oil reserves in Pakistan
Trump said, “We have just entered into an agreement with Pakistan, under which Pakistan and America will work together to develop their huge oil reserves. We are in the process of selecting the oil company that will lead this partnership. Who knows, maybe they can sell oil to India someday!” The comment came after Trump’s announcement of 25 percent tariff and additional fine on Indian imports from 1 August. Trump has announced this, citing Washington’s trade deficit and the purchase of Russian oil with New Delhi. Trump further said in his post that he had talked about business agreements with leaders of many countries, and said “They all want to make America very happy.”
I don’t mind what India does with Russia- Trump
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “I don’t care what India does with Russia. They can drop their dead economies together, I do not have any difference. Trump also targeted Russia and said, “Similarly, Russia and America do not do almost any business together. Let us stay like this, and Russia’s failed former President Medvedev, who still considers himself to be the President, asks him to pay attention to his words. He is entering a very dangerous field!”
Donald Trump imposed 25% tariff on India
Let us tell you that US President Donald Trump has imposed 25% tariff on India before the interpersonal tariff of 1 August. India and America are working on a trade agreement, but no interim agreement has been reached yet. In addition, India has become the latest name in the list of countries under high tariffs under Trump’s “Liberation Day” trade strategy. The objective of this strategy is to restructure American trade partnership through better mutual systems. The revised American tariffs will affect India’s exports to the US, which is estimated to be around $ 87 billion in 2024. This includes labor-dominated areas such as apparel, medicines, gems and jewelery, and petrochemical products. The trade imbalance between the US and India is $ 45.7 billion, which is in India’s favor. Vijay Chauhan, Executive Director of Deloitte India, said, “Indian negotiaters have done a good job by maintaining firmness in protecting national interests. We are monitoring the situation as American negotiaters are going to come to New Delhi on August 25.”
We are very busy in the White House today working on Trade Deals. I have spoken to the Leaders of many Countries, all of whom want to make the United States “extremely happy.” I will be meeting with the South Korean Trade Delegation this afternoon. South Korea is right now at a…
