Moses was also involved in the murder of seven people involved in the construction of the Z-Mode tunnel on the Srinagar-Sonmarg highway last year. The joint team of Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police led the campaign. About 17 grenades, one M4 carbine and two AK-47 rifles were recovered from the hideout of the terrorists. The encounter started after receiving information about the presence of three foreign terrorists to the armed forces near Mount Mahadev in Dachigam area of Srinagar. According to sources, the name “Mahadev” was probably given because this campaign took place between Zabarawan and Mahadev mountain ranges.
Sources said that in early July, the army caught a suspicious communication by the army in the forest of Dachigam, after which a joint group of Lashkar and Jaish terrorists was closely monitored for 14 days. This information was also confirmed by local nomads, who gave information about the terrorists. Subsequently, several army teams were sent to the area. At around 11.30 am on Monday morning, one such team of 24 Rashtriya Rifles and 4 Para Rifles discovered three terrorists and killed them surprisingly and through excellent strategic maneuvers.

Who is Hashim Moses?
Moses is the former Para-Kando of the Special Service Group (SSG) of the Pakistani Army. Intelligence sources were quoted by several media institutions as saying that after being dismissed from its post in the army, he joined the banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let). Moses’s background in SSG came to light when one of the 14 Kashmiri over ground workers (OGW) questioned by the investigators in connection with the Pahalgam terror attack. These OGWs are suspected of helping Pakistani terrorists to deliver logistics and reconnaissance of the terrorist site.
