On Saturday, there was a political fight between the Congress and the BJP over the statement of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Udit Raj comparing Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha to Dr. BR Ambedkar. The BJP said that such remarks are an insult to the Dalits as well as the social reformer. Inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s speech yesterday at the Participation Justice Conference, the Congress leader claimed that if the people of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) focus on his words, the OBCs would prove to be “other Ambedkar” for him. He further said that OBC should support the statements of the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

In a post on X on Saturday, Raj said that OBC (Other Backward Classes) will have to think that history does not give opportunities for frequent progress. He should follow and support the things said by Rahul Gandhi at the Talkatora Stadium Conference. If they do this, Rahul Gandhi will prove to be another Ambedkar for him. After Udit Raj’s post, the BJP targeted the Congress for allegedly insulting Babasaheb Ambedkar. BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya accused the Congress of conspiring to reduce Ambedkar’s legacy.
Malaviya said, “The Congress is now worried about finding another Ambedkar. But the country knows how the Congress betrayed Dr. Ambedkar and insulted him again and again, which is recorded in history.” Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, he said that he cannot become anything other than historical failure. The question is why the Congress is not looking for another Nehru? Because this effort is a conspiracy to reduce Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and greatness.
