Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia strongly criticized the Congress party and its leader Rahul Gandhi. He described the Congress as the most corrupt party and accused Rahul of repeatedly insulting the OBC community, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is from this community. Addressing the media, Bhatia said, “The most corrupt party held a conference on OBC society yesterday. Rahul Gandhi himself has always insulted the Prime Minister coming from the OBC community and the OBC community. He has many serious allegations including corruption and is out on bail.”

Gaurav Bhatia also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s praise of leaders like Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, which he said that both were facing allegations of corruption. A day earlier, the Congress party organized the ‘Participation Justice Conference’, which was inaugurated by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and concluded by Congress leader and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday reiterated the party’s demand for removing a 50 percent limit on nationwide caste-based census and reservation. He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of denying the rights of backward communities and misleading the country.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi admitted that the caste census during the UPA government was a mistake and now he is committed to improve it. Speaking at the OBC’s ‘Participation Justice Conference’ at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, he said that he failed to understand the issues of other backward classes (OBC) community earlier, while the Congress had done commendable work on the issues of Dalits, Adivasis and women.
