He further said that the contact between the security officials of the two countries and the conversation at various levels is very fast. Maldives gets credit limit

A major agreement signed during this visit will reduce the annual loan payment given by Maldives to India by 40 percent. The development is expected to reduce financial pressure on the island nation and shows India’s commitment to maintain the economic stability of its neighboring country. India also announced a loan assistance of Rs 4,850 crore for the Maldives. Additionally, the two countries agreed to finalize a free trade agreement soon with the aim of further strengthening bilateral economic relations.
