The Shared project of the British Consultancy, under the Department of Nature Contyvancy (TNC) under the direction of the Nature Contylavy (TNC, the “Alternate Wetting and Drying” technology is being preached and implemented in various villages in Patiala district in Patiala district. Under this technique, the fields are being planted specially designed AWD pipes with the help of the help of farmers can easily measure the surface of the water. There are now about 6,000 pipes so far.

Agriculture Supervisor spa Chaudhary said the technology being recalled by the organization is getting full support to the farmers. This technique is important to save up to 25 to 30 per cent of water in paddy and also declining to prevent mossical changes to 50 per cent. In addition to these facts, the technology also reduces the fields and insects of pests, which causes the pasteyside, decreases the cost and decrease in the cost of production. This is also increasing the income of the farmer.

The project has been constructed by selecting 25-25 villages in the district for implementation of 25-25 which has been made to implement collectively. The AWD technology is being innoviation and improved by the human developmental institute with universities and technical participants, such as the pilot trial of sensor based partners, such as farmers who can get a real time reading of the water and more effective techniques. This attempt will improve the performance of agriculture only, but not a lamp towards saving water in Punjab.
