In Maharashtra politics, the whisper of ‘espionage’ has created panic. According to Rohit Pawar, some ministers of Mahayuti government have closed their mobiles for fear of phone tapping, which has increased suspense amid speculation of cabinet reshuffle. This charge is indicating the deepening political fuss in the state.
Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) MLA Rohit Pawar has claimed that some ministers of Maharashtra government have closed their mobile phones for fear that their phones are being tapped. Reacting to this, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar demanded evidence in support of the allegations.

Rohit Pawar posted on the social media forum X on Friday, “Some ministers are not being contacted on the phone. There is such a whisper that they have stopped their phones for fear of espionage. In the coming days, you will know whether it is true or just rumor. ”
Rohit Pawar, who was elected MLA from Karjat-Jamkhed for the second time, is also the general secretary of NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar). Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar told reporters, “Everyone has the right to accuse, but time evidence should also be presented in support of the allegations. This phone is accused of tapping in the midst of this claim of Shiv Sena (Ubatha) stating that there is a possibility of reshuffle in the state cabinet and five to six ministers of Shiv Sena can be removed.

Earlier, NCP (SP) state general secretary Rohit Pawar said on Thursday that the death of Sangli contractor Harshal Patil is not a suicide, but a murder by a corrupt system. He said, “Many other contractors have not yet received payment and they are struggling with financial crisis. I appeal to all of them not to take any drastic steps like Patil.” Rohit sought a financial record of the contractors’ dues from the government. He also accused the state government of giving preference to some private contractors instead of government contractors in allocation of projects.
