Seven prominent leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment on Tuesday in cases related to violence on May 9, 2023. A court official told PTI, “The anti-terrorism court of Lahore (ATC) sentenced Senator Ejaz Chaudhary, former Punjab Governor Sarfaraz Cheema, former Provincial Minister Yasmin Rashid and Mahmudur Rashid and Advocate Azim Pahat to 10-10 years.”
