After the US declared The Resistance Front (TRF) as a foreign terrorist organization, Pakistan will change its name to the pseudo -war in Kashmir again. Sources quoted media reports claiming that Pakistan should change the name to avoid international investigation and continue the work that is about to repeat its old policy. India’s intelligence community is actively creating a doseer to find out any renovation effort related to TRF and Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to sources, this doseer will be shared with international partners such as the US, the US, Anti-Anti-Terrorism Financing Monitoring Institution FATF and the United Nations to protect these groups from any diplomatic flaws or legal protection. Quoting the government’s intelligence sources, media reports said that such efforts are very important to maintain international pressure and ensure accountability.

India’s agencies say that after the ban of America, Pakistan can bring TRF to the new name. The reason is clear, prevention of institutions like FATF, and maintaining false enemies of ‘resistance’ in Kashmir. For Pakistan, it is not just an organization, but part of its strategic policy. New name, the same structure, the same purpose. TRF, established in 2019 by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), is widely considered the expansion of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET). According to Indian officials, this development reflects a pattern in which the main terrorist activities continue to avoid international sanctions by repeatedly changing the names of restricted groups. The current leadership of TRF is in the hands of Sajjad Gul (Supreme Commander) and Ahmed Khalid (spokesperson). Their contacts are directly from Muridke and Bahawalpur, the centers of Lashkar in Pakistan. He has direct support from terrorist networks like Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniyat.

The group was established after the cancellation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, which aims to portray terrorism in the valley as local resistance rather than foreign jihad. The purpose of this strategic illustration was to hide the true nature and objectives of the group. Despite its claims of indigenous movement, the TRF has been involved in several attacks, including the Pahalgam incident, copying the methods of operating Lashkar-e-Taiba. Indian agencies say that the objectives of this group include avoiding financial inquiry of institutions like FATF and avoiding the United Nations and American blacklists, while the illusion of local extremism attempts to recruit Kashmiri youth. This group uses sophisticated propaganda to attract the recruitments and maintain the operation privacy.

According to sources, TRF was founded by Muhammad Abbas Sheikh, who has now died. The current leadership is Sheikh Sajjad Gul Commander and Ahmed Khalid is a spokesperson. The group works under a long -made structure by Pakistan to promote jihad in Kashmir and take advantage of existing networks and resources to continue its activities. At the same time, agencies are now eyeing the names of new ‘resistance’ on social media, such as “Vice of Kashmir” or “United Front for Freedom”, which can suddenly emerge. Their funding channels, online propaganda and border-par message are under monitoring.
