Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar has announced that the Karnataka government will soon form five municipal corporations and hold elections under the newly formed Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), as part of its comprehensive plan to empower party workers and strengthen the local administration. The municipal body of the city, the division of Brihat Bangalore Metropolitan Municipality (BBMP), is the basis of the establishment of the Greater Bengaluru Authority. Through this reorganization, the government aims to decentralize the government and improve local civil administration. Speaking at a meeting at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office in Bangalore on 15 July, Shivkumar said that the Greater Bengaluru Authority has been formed, and through this we will move towards building five municipal corporations. For this, a committee has been constituted under the leadership of MLA Rizwan. Some people may publicly oppose it, but it is necessary to do it from an administrative point of view.

For today’s program, we have invited defeated candidates, block presidents and former councilors. Your future depends on how you join it. If you feel that you will get a ticket in the municipal elections by flattering DK Shivkumar or HM Revanna, then forget it. You have to work at the local level.
