The Raj Social Security Minister, Dr. Baljit Kaur has said that if a parent would force their children to beg, they would be explained to them. If they do not believe, they will be declared the Unifit Girgian. After this, the process of adoption can be started. At the same time, the people of any gang or racket involved can be sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Minister said that in the last nine months, the government had saved 350 children from begging and connected to schools and other organizations. So far, 57 of these kids have not received a clue and the investigation continues.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said that life Jyot Project was started in September 2024. The purpose is to prevent children from begging the streets, protecting their childhood, to associate and treat them with school. In 9 months, 367 children were saved.
