Sheikh Hasina overturned in Bangladesh! Gopalganj massacre increased uproar, supporters on roads

In a sharp statement after a deadly violence in Gopalganj, former Prime Minister and President of Awami League, Sheikh Hasina, has accused her political rival Dr. Muhammad Yunus and his supporters of destroying the original identity of Bangladesh and creating a “barbaric conspiracy” to destroy the original identity of Bangladesh and to impure the tomb of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This statement came a day after the deadly clashes in Tungipada in Gopalganj. The clash took place during a controversial Gopalganj march under the leadership of supporters of the newly formed National General Consent Party (NCP). It is believed that this party has the support of Yunus.

At least a dozen citizens are expected to be killed and many others were expected to be injured in firing by police to disperse the illegal and inflammatory mob attack on the Bangabandhu Samadhi complex. After being removed from the post earlier this year, in her first major political intervention, Sheikh Hasina targeted Yunus and called her a killer-fascist, anti-national conspirator and a godfather of mob terrorism. He said that the country saw who insulted our flags, our Constitution and the tomb of the Father of the Nation.

Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are one. Any attack on Bangabandhu is an attack on the soul of this country and the Bengali people will not forgive it. He claimed that this violence is a form of August 5 incident. Referring to the earlier attacks on the offices and monuments of the Awami League, Yunus accused of provoking militant elements and destabilizing the state.
