Differences have emerged between the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) and the Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan (KMM) in Punjab. KMM, a supporting organization of Saravan Singh Pandher, has announced a demonstration on March 31 outside the houses of ministers and MLAs on Monday i.e. Monday.

At the same time, SKM (Non-Political), organization of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, has decided to stay away from it. The SKM has issued a statement to not be part of the protest. After which it is clear that for the last 1 year, the alliance of both organizations has now broken.

Major demands of farmers

  1. 12 demands, including guarantee law on the minimum support price (MSP), should be resolved soon.
  2. On March 19, the Punjab government should compensate the damage in police action on Shambhu and Khanouri border. This includes stolen goods.
  3. The police should compensate the farmers injured in lathicharge and violence on farmers fronts.
  4. On March 20, SHO Harpreet Singh of Shambhu police station Shambhu, who lathi -charged on the Shambhu border, should be dismissed.
  5. On the instigation of the government, a case should be registered immediately against the anti -social elements involved in the incidents of theft and looting on Shambhu and Khanouri border.
  6. The assembly membership of MLA Gurlal Ghanour, involved in the theft of tractor-trolleys and other goods, should be canceled.
