Jamaluddin alias Chhangur Baba, the alleged mastermind of a large -scale conversion racket in Uttar Pradesh, has broken his silence on the allegations. Chhangur Baba said that I am innocent. I don’t know anything. He and his associate Nasreen are being taken from the Community Health Center after medical examination. The Chhangur Baba conversion case includes self -proclaimed spiritual guru Jamaluddin alias Chhangur Baba, a resident of Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, who is accused of running a large -scale illegal conversion racket. The matter came into the limelight after the arrest of Uttar Pradesh’s Anti -Terrorism Squad (ATS) with his colleague Neetu alias Nasreen. Investigations have revealed a broad network that involves allegedly weakened people, especially Hindu women and minors to adopt and force Islam to adopt Islam through emotional manipulation and financial temptations.

An important aspect of allegations is a broad financial transaction. An investigation by the ATS and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has revealed that about 40 bank accounts associated with Chhangur Baba and his associates were reportedly deposited more than Rs 500 crore from foreign sources, especially from Gulf countries, and possibly from Pakistan. It is suspected that these funds have been used for funding the conversion work, with a “fixed incentive structure” based on the caste of the converted person, which ranges from Rs 8-10 lakh for other castes to Brahmin, Sikh or Kshatriya women for Rs 15-16 lakh.

In addition, Chhangur Baba is accused of acquiring illegal assets of more than Rs 100 crore in Balrampur and Pune, some of which were allegedly built on government land without proper approval. His luxurious mansion in Balrampur, which allegedly used to be the center of conversion counseling and activities, has been massively demolished by the district administration. Officers have also found a controversial book called Shizar-e-Taiyaba, a self-published by Chhangur, which was allegedly used for brainwash and religion-promotion.
