The Iran -based Indian Embassy has issued a new consultation, urging Indian citizens to avoid unnecessary visit to Iran. The embassy has asked them to carefully consider the changing situation in the area, in its consultation on X. The embassy has also asked people already present in Iran to be cautious about the latest developments in the Middle East region and said that they can use commercial flights and available boating services to leave Iran.

Given security related developments in the last several weeks, Indian citizens are advised to carefully consider the current situation before traveling to Iran. They are also advised to monitor the latest regional developments and follow the latest consultations issued by Indian authorities. Indian citizens who are already in Iran and are willing to leave from there can take advantage of the available commercial flight and boating services right now. It has been released in the backdrop of increasing tension in the consultation sector, which has increased even more than a series of military tensions between Israel, Iran and the United States.

Israel-Iran War
Last month, Israel started Operation Rising Lion on 13 June, targeting the Iranian nuclear and military bases including Natanz and Fordo. In response, Iran retaliated with missiles and drone attacks at Israeli hideouts. In support of Israel, the United States retaliated on 22 June by attacking Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan -based major Iranian nuclear installations. The Iranian armed forces launched counter -attacks, targeting major bases in Israeli -occupied areas and US military airports at Qatar.
