The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted protection to the cartoonist accused of sharing alleged objectionable cartoon of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS workers on social media. A bench of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Arvind Kumar said that if he shared another objectionable post on social media, it is free to take action against them under the state law. The apex court was angry with the alleged derogatory online post and said that people say anything to anyone. Hemant Malaviya challenged the order passed by the Madhya Pradesh High Court on July 3 in the apex court in which he was refused to give advance bail.

Joshi alleged that Malaviya uploaded objectionable materials on social media and hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus and spoiled communal harmony. The Supreme Court has given protection to Hemant Malaviya and gave protection from arrest. The next hearing of the case will be held after August 15. The Supreme Court said that if any objectionable remarks are made by Malaviya, the complainants can come to the court. The Supreme Court said that whatever objectionable remarks you want to remove from social media should be removed.
