When a spacecraft is revolving around the Earth and has to be brought back to the earth, it is necessary to reduce its speed so that it can get out of the orbit and enter the Earth’s atmosphere. To reduce this speed, the thrusters (small engines) of the spacecraft are fired in a certain time and direction. This process is called ‘de-arbit burn’.
