On being given state status to Jammu and Kashmir, CM Omar Abdullah said that unfortunately, as a union territory, the security of the state is not our responsibility. We want this responsibility to be ours. Our government should be entrusted with the responsibility of Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible. He said that we do not want to become a union territory. It was a great betrayal of us to make us union territory. The central government and BJP are promising to make Jammu and Kashmir a state again. It should not be delayed now.

He said that today, we brought a large delegation from TTF in Jammu and Kashmir, taking advantage of the presence of TTF (Tour and Travel Freater) in Kolkata, which aims to invite the people of West Bengal to come to Jammu and Kashmir and enjoy its beauty and our hospitality. When the Supreme Court allowed the Election Commission to continue the SIR of voter lists in Bihar, Abdullah said that the matter was in the Supreme Court. The court has pronounced its verdict. Now we have to wait for the results. Those who went to court should find other avenues to get justice from the court in this case. I am among those who think that elections should be held, whatever happens. I do not want to get into it. I believe that people should vote and choose their government.
