Indian migrants living in Namibia expressed immense enthusiasm and eagerness when Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Windhok, the country’s capital on Wednesday morning. This was his first visit to the country and the third visit of an Indian Prime Minister. Members of the community, who were preparing to welcome Prime Minister Modi, shared their enthusiasm. A migrant told that he will perform the ‘Garba’ dance to welcome the Prime Minister. He said that we are very thrilled with Prime Minister Modi reaching Namibia. Another member of the migrant community said that this is the first time I am going to meet Modi ji and I am very excited. Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi reached Hosea Kutako International Airport and was warmly welcomed. Namibia’s International Relations and Trade Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavi welcomed her, which reflects the importance of this diplomatic connection.

The special thing is that this is the first visit of Prime Minister Modi and the third visit of a Prime Minister of India. Prime Minister Namibia founder Janak and first President late Dr. Sam Nujoma will also pay tribute. He is also expected to address the Parliament of Namibia. The Ministry of External Affairs had said that the Prime Minister’s visit shows India’s multidimensional and deep historical relations with Namibia. PM Modi said that India wants to increase bilateral cooperation with Namibia which is a valuable and reliable partner in Africa. PM Modi will address the Parliament of Namibia.
