Nepal: Two Indians and two Nepali arrested in drug trafficking

Four people, including two citizens of India, have been arrested in two separate incidents of drug trafficking in Nepal. The police gave this information on Sunday.

Police said on Sunday, on the basis of a secret information, a 45-year-old Indian woman and two Nepali citizens of Morang district of eastern Nepal were arrested with banned material.

According to the ‘Narcotic Drugs Control Bureau’ of Nepal Police, the accused have been identified as Indian woman Hasina Khatoon. At the same time, the citizens of Nepal have been identified as 38 -year -old Sushil Budhathoki and 54 -year -old Krityanand Thakur.

Police said they were carrying 400 grams of brown heroin and arrested from Rangeli municipality in Morang district. The police opened fire to catch the three during the raid and after arresting them, started further investigation in the case.

In another case, 65 -year -old Indian citizen Rakesh Wahab was arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport late on Saturday and recovered 6.5 kg white heroin from him.
