Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed his visit to his Ghana and Trinidad and Tobago and stepped into Brazil on Sunday (local time on Saturday evening). He was warmly welcomed by Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Viera at the Gallio International Airport of Rio de Janeiro.
Sharing pictures of his reception at the airport, Prime Minister Modi wrote on X (first Twitter), ‘landed at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I will attend the BRICS summit and later I will go to his capital Brasilia for the state visit at the invitation of President Lula. A productive round of meetings and conversations during this trip is expected. ‘
Soon after landing at the airport, Prime Minister Modi met members of the Indian community. He interacted with the diaspora and encouraged them. During this time many Indians raised loud slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’.

Prime Minister Modi will take part in the 2025 BRICS summit here. His Brazilian visit is the fourth stop of the tour of five countries, which began on 2 July. The tour will conclude in Namibia.
