The Bangladesh tour of Team India to be held in August has reached the verge of being a resade. The reason behind this is that the BCCI has not yet received permission from the Government of India to visit Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has also hinted to be a resade for this tour.
On Wednesday 2 July, an official of the Bangladesh Cricket Board informed the news agency AFP about this schedule. Under this series, 3 ODIs and as many T20 matches were to be played, which was to be started in Dhaka from 17 August. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board Media Committee President Iftikhar Rahman told AFP that the BCCI has informed them that the tour could be delayed.
The BCCI has not yet commented on the tour. Rahman said without giving any detailed information that, this tour is part of the FTP, so it is not an option to cancel it, but it can be rested at some time with mutual consent.
On the other hand, if the Indian team’s visit to Bangladesh averted, then Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s presence in international cricket will be seen late. Virat and Rohit have also retired from Tests after T20. In such a situation, if the ODI series is Richeduli, then the return of these two will also be late.
