Union ministers Kiren Rijiju and Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh are all set to attend the 90th birthday celebrations of Dalai Lama at Dharamshala. Rijiju will travel to the hill city on Friday before the official ceremony, amidst increasing interest on the sensitive issue of succession of the Tibetan spiritual leader. The Dalai Lama’s birthday falls on July 6 according to the Gregorian calendar, while the festival has started from June 30 according to the Tibetan calendar. This important birthday is being celebrated with religious ceremonies and cultural programs.
