Police have taken major action against drug addiction in Mansa district of Punjab. 350 policemen led by SSP Bhagirath Singh Meena carried out a special search operation in the city. Four suspects were detained during this period. Police team worshiped from the arrested accused

110 NDPS case so far
SSP Meena said that 110 NDPS cases have been registered so far in a special campaign started from March 1. During this time 126 accused have been arrested and sent to jail. Police have also recovered 732 grams of heroin, synthetic pope and other narcotics. Police has freeze the property of drug smugglers in the district.
SSP warns to smugglers
The SSP has given strict warning to drug smugglers. He said that smugglers have two options – either close the drug trade or leave Mansa. He clarified that the campaign against drugs would continue and no smuggler will be spared. The police team conducted a special search operation in the hotspot areas of the city. This action is part of the ‘War Drugs’ campaign of the Punjab government.
