Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has admitted that China had provided important intelligence to Islamabad during military encounters with India. This information was reportedly included details about India’s air defense systems, helping Pakistan to strengthen its strategic preparations during stress. In an interview, Khwaja Asif said that after a brief struggle with India, Pakistan was on high alert and emphasized that Beijing has assisted Islamabad by sharing intelligence related to India’s defense capabilities.

Asif further stated that the exchange of sensitive data, including satellite imagery and danger assessment, is a regular case among countries sharing strategic interests. He said that like Pakistan, China also has its security concerns about India, which has prepared the basis for intimate intelligence cooperation. It is normal for nations to share their information, especially when the danger is between the two sides. China is also facing challenges from India, just as we have to do. Satellite -based intelligence information and monitoring input sharing is part of our ongoing strategic cooperation.

These comments have come in view of increased military activities between India and Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. In retaliation, the Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeting terrorist camps across the border. After this, Pakistan performed heavy shells from across the border, including attacks on civil areas along the Line of Control (LoC). The Indian Army strongly retaliated. The report states that Indian missiles attacked and destroyed 11 Pakistani airbases, which led to Islamabad to retreat from further action.
