Maa Movie Review: Kajol starrer this unique story shows the competition of faith and evil

A new kind of scary story, ‘Maa’ is a film that exits the old structure of Indian horror films. Director Vishal Furia has shown the fear in it that feels from the heart, not just by the eyes. There is neither fast music, nor suddenly emerging ghost, but a story of a mother who confronts demonic forces for her daughter.
Village, fog and story of hidden truth
The story begins with a mysterious village named Chandrapur, which is immersed in fog all the time. There is a hidden sorrow of a mother Ambika in the silence there, whose daughter has a terrible curse. This curse gives that mother a goddess as a goddess.
When Mamta turns into power
Ambika’s character starts from a common woman and turns into a wonderful power. When courage and anger instead of fear in his eyes, the audience understands that now the story has changed the attitude. This is not just a fight to save a daughter, but a war against evil.
Performance put life in the story
Kajol has done such a thing in the role of Ambika which will be remembered for a long time. His face gesture, silence and powerful dialogues, everything is effective. Kherin Sharma also looks quite true in Shweta’s role. Ronit Roy’s presence fills a strange secret in the story, which further strengthens the story. At the same time, Indranil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, Gopal Singh, Yania Bhardwaj and Roopkatha Chakraborty have also given their hundred percent.
Fear… but without noise
Vishal Furia has created fear not with voices and ghosts, but with the atmosphere. The silence in the jungles, temples and deserted streets of the film produces real fear. This is a quiet but effective form of horror. If said, Vishal Furia has given the story to the story beauty.
Are the demons really dead?
In the film, the mythological story ‘Raktbiz’ and Goddess Kali have been linked to today’s system. It is shown that the real demons are still in our society and that too as fear, silence and wrong thinking. In this way the film quietly says a deep thing.
Look, listen and feel
The song ‘Kali Shakti’ and many scenes in the film are so powerful that the hair stands up. VFX, camera work and sound designs are so good that the streets and temples of Chandrapur look absolutely real.
Know the answers to these questions? So see ‘mother’
Can a mother really become a goddess? How does a curse affect for generations? How much can a mother go alone in the fight with evil? Can tradition and modern thinking come together? If these questions arise in your mind, then answer the film ‘Maa’.
