The Odisha government has made extensive arrangements for Lord Jagannath’s annual Rath Yatra and on Friday, lakhs of devotees reached Puri to participate in it. The officers provided this information.
Police sources said that by Thursday evening, about one lakh people had reached Puri and this number increased several times this morning. He informed that millions of devotees from all over the country and abroad are expected to participate in this chariot yatra.
Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief administrator Arabind Padhi said, “With the grace of Mahaprabhu (Lord Jagannath), we are fully prepared for the smooth operation of the Rath Yatra on Friday. We are getting full support and support from the servicemen. All preparations have been completed to make this grand event a success. ”
Around 10,000 security personnel have been deployed in the city, including eight troops of Central Armed Police Forces. Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) YB Khurania said that for the first time an integrated command and control center has been opened in Puri to keep a close watch on the entire festival.
CCTV cameras equipped with more than 275 artificial intelligence (AI) have been installed in Puri and 35 km for monitoring and 35 km and 13th century Sun Temple. The DGP said that apart from this, the Snipers of the National Security Guard (NSG) will be stationed on the roof on the grand road in front of the temple.
