Not interested in politics but ready to become coach of Team India, Sourav Ganguly kept his point with impunity

Former captain Sourav Ganguly, who gave a new dimension to Indian cricket, has clearly refused to enter politics. But he has definitely said that he is ready to coach Team India. Ganguly, who will be 53 years old in July, has also been the director of IPL team Delhi Capitals from 2018-19 to 2022-24.
While talking to PTI, Ganguly said that, I never thought about it, because I got busy in different roles. When asked if he would like to coach India? So in response, he said that, I stopped playing cricket in 2013 and then became the BCCI President. When he was asked that if he had become the coach of Team India, he could have contributed more, on which he said that, he would see what happens next. I am just 50- so let’s see what happens. I am ready for this, let’s see what the direction is. However, he made it clear that there is no intention of going into politics.
At the same time, when Ganguly was asked if he would join a political party before the West Bengal assembly elections to be held in 2026, he smiled and said that I am not interested in it. If he is offered to become the Chief Minister? He again reiterated that I was not interested in it.
Also, Ganguly has praised Team India’s current head coach Gautam Gambhir. He said that after winning the Champions Trophy in Dubai, he had a good performance as a coach.
