Illegal construction work in Mannat of Shah Rukh Khan? Manager Pooja Dadlani reacted to reports

The Civil Body of Mumbai, BMC, along with the forest department officials inspected the residence of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan ‘Mannat’ on Friday. This action has been taken in response to the complaint lodged by a social worker, alleging violation of rules during the ongoing renewal work in this prestigious bungalow. The complaint claimed that the renewal activities have violated the coastal regulation (CRZ) criteria, due to which the forest department has paid attention to it.
Illegal construction work in Shah Rukh Khan’s vow?
A team of BMC and Forest Department officials were seen there after a worker complained of illegal construction work at Shah Rukh Khan’s luxurious house Mannat in Mumbai. According to the Times of India report, he was investigating any violation after a complaint by a worker. Mannat, which includes a heritage bungalow and a multi -storey anx, is currently undergoing renewal. After the actor and his family temporarily shifted to a nearest residence in Pali Hill, his staff met the officers who arrived for inspection. He assured the officials that all necessary renewal permits and related documents would be duly presented.

Manager rejected speculation
Even Shah Rukh’s manager Pooja Dadlani denied any illegal activity. He told TOI, “There is no complaint. All the work is going on as per the guidelines.” A forest department official told the publisher, “A team inspected the site as we had received a complaint about renewal permissions. A report will be prepared and submitted soon based on the findings.” It was also mentioned that BMC members were part of the investigation team only to support forest officials.

Worker Santosh Daundkar lodged a complaint about construction in Mannat. Former IPS officer YP Singh claimed that Mannat originally included a heritage building, Villa Vienna, and in 2005, a seven -storey annex was created. To ignore the Urban Land Ceiling Act, 12 small flats were approved, but was later merged with a luxurious residence for Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan. Singh alleged the collusion of the Municipal Corporation and said that the owners should now restore flats to maintain law and fulfill housing objectives.

‘Mannat’ is a prestigious bungalow built on the sea shore of Shah Rukh Khan, which is located in Bandra, Mumbai. This property is classified as a grade III heritage structure, which places it under the rules that protect its architectural and cultural character. Any change in such structures requires environmental approval when applied as well as implementation from the Heritage Conservation Committee. Mannat is not only a landmark, but one of the most recognized celebrity homes in India. It is the main residence of Shah Rukh Khan, where he lives with his wife Gauri Khan and his three children – Aryan, Suhana and Abram.
