After Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement about English, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi said on Friday that language is not a hindrance but a bridge that provides equal opportunity to every child, although the BJP-RSS does not want the poor to learn it as it gives them the right to ask questions. He said in a post on ‘X’ that every language of India has soul, culture, knowledge, which should be cherished. He also said that every child needs to teach English because it is “the path of an India that competes with the world, which gives every child equal opportunity.

During the release of a book, Shah said that remember what I say and listen carefully to me. The time is not far when people speaking English in this country will feel ashamed. The languages of our country are gems of our culture. We are not Indians without them … India cannot be imagined with foreign language. Reacting to the question of why any person in any society should feel ashamed to speak any language or dialect, senior RJD MP Manoj K Jha said, “It should be the duty of every person in public life to help in establishing a ‘sister -like’ relationship between languages.

Now, while reversing this, Rahul Gandhi has posted a video. In its caption, he wrote that in today’s world, English is as important as your mother tongue – because this will provide employment, will increase confidence. Every language of India has soul, culture, knowledge. We have to cherish them – as well as every child has to teach English. This is the way of an India that will compete with the world, which gives every child a chance to equal.
