Sitaare Zameen Par Review | Emotional film made with noble intentions, but lack of emotional depth

Stars review on land: Amid good discussion, the stars finally came to theaters today (20 June) on the ground. The film is a spiritual sequel to Aamir Khan’s Classic Taare Zameen on 2007, which for the first time on the big screen of children suffering from dyslexia on the big screen. But this time, Aamir Khan searches for the world of neurodionary adults in the game. The story is the official Hindi remake of the Spanish film Campions, but has been well molded to suit Indian feelings and culture.

 

The story begins with Gulshan Arora (Aamir Khan), which is a vigorous but arrogant junior basketball coach, which is suspended due to her desired behavior. As a punishment, he is tasked with coaching to the basketball team with a neurodivator youth. Gulshan’s journey, which initially rejected the work, takes a turn when he meets the team: Sunil, Satbir, Lotus, Guddu, Sharma ji, Karim, Raju, Bantu, Golu and Hargovind – are struggling with each different neurological conditions.

What comes in front is not only in the players but also in Gulshan themselves. The central message of the film- “Sahab, is normal is normal”- is given with simplicity and depth. This forces the audience to think how society often sidelines people who do not fit the standard mold of “normal”.

 

Aamir Khan has given a strong and reliable performance as a flawless but emerging coach. Assistant artists including Dolly Ahluwalia, Brijendra Kala, Genelia Deshmukh and the youth team of players are equally reliable. Dolly, especially, as a mother taking care of Gulshan, adds emotional depth to the story.

Although the stars are undoubtedly made on the ground, it does not always reach the heart of the audience. Emotional fluctuations that define the stars on the ground seem to be more faded here. You can smile, and can also cry in some parts, but the film cannot completely immerse you in your emotional world. One of the reasons for this can be developed audience – which now expects not only stories, but also depth, authenticity and permanent resonance. Topics such as neurodiacs and inclusion have been discovered more in recent cinema, and now it is not enough to create a cinematic miracle just to highlight a social issue.

The star is a noble -intention film on the ground that makes you smile and sometimes makes you feel lumps around the neck. But it does not have a deep, heart shocking effect on the star ground. Nevertheless, it is a worthy film – which promotes sympathy, inclusion and more kind attitudes towards those who experience the world differently. It cannot always be with you, but it will make you stop and think – and sometimes, it is enough.
