Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed the claims that there was a possible ceasefire between Israel and Iran after his early departure from the G7 Summit in Canada, saying that there was a bigger thing behind returning to Washington. He also targeted the comments of French President Emmanuel Macron and said that Emmanuel Macron is always wrong. Trump’s remarks came after Macron’s suggestion that US Presidents suddenly left the summit due to ceasefire discussions related to Israel and Iran.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote that President Emmanuel Macron, who wanted the campaign, mistakenly claimed that I had left the G7 Summit in Canada and returned to Washington and working on a ‘ceasefire’ between Israel and Iran. Wrong! They do not know why I am returning to Washington, but it definitely has nothing to do with the ceasefire. It is much larger than that.
