Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed the claims that there was a possible ceasefire between Israel and Iran after his early departure from the G7 Summit in Canada, saying that there was a bigger thing behind returning to Washington. He also targeted the comments of French President Emmanuel Macron and said that Emmanuel Macron is always wrong. Trump’s remarks came after Macron’s suggestion that US Presidents suddenly left the summit due to ceasefire discussions related to Israel and Iran.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote that President Emmanuel Macron, who wanted the campaign, mistakenly claimed that I had left the G7 Summit in Canada and returned to Washington and working on a ‘ceasefire’ between Israel and Iran. Wrong! They do not know why I am returning to Washington, but it definitely has nothing to do with the ceasefire. It is much larger than that. Whether it is intentional or unknowingly, Emmanuel is always wrong. Keep watching!
Trump stopped the G7 Summit and Canada’s visit to the middle
Earlier today, the White House confirmed that President Trump would leave the Group of Seven Summit to be held in Canada a day before the scheduled time, he explained the growing crisis in the Middle East as a reason for his early return to Washington. Soon after the announcement, French President Emmanuel Macron described Trump’s decision as a “positive step”, in which he noticed the immediate need for diplomatic efforts to encourage the ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
