Local Mayor Fulgance Bolocaome told the radio station ‘Top Congo’ that due to heavy rains from Friday to Saturday, at least 17 people died of floods and landslides in the western areas of Kinshasa.

Local resident Clovis Kalanga said, “We heard a loud voice at around three in the morning. When we went out, we saw that the wall of the neighbors’ house fell. One person and his wife died in the incident, while five children survived. ”In April, at least 22 people died due to the floods in Kinshasa and the contact route was broken up to more than half the city and the main airport of the country.
